SQ-EASY PreFilter

POREX® SQ-EASYTM Prefilters offer the diagnostic industry an innovative, economical and self-contained solution to particle filtration of specimen samples. The filters are used today in a wide variety of diagnostic and point-of-care specimen analysis applications.

Design Challenge:
To develop an economical, self-contained filtration system for off-line sample preparation applications using stool, serum, diluted whole blood, urine and throat swab specimens.

Solution:
POREX SQ-EASY Prefilters are a closed sample preparation system used in a variety of diagnostic and point of care applications to deliver filtered specimens for sample analysis. Consisting of a tube, dropper tip with filter and closure cap, POREX SQ-EASY Prefilters have interlocking components to help prevent sample leakage. Components are available separately allowing for flexibility in tube size and particle retention with filtration materials ranging from hydrophilic, 1µ Glass Fiber + UHMW-PE to hydrophobic, 125 µ HDPE.

Result:
POREX SQ-EASY Prefilters offer the diagnostic industry an economical, innovative solution to particle filtration using a self-contained device.
